Suggestions to all students of The Yoga Studio:

  • As a courtesy, please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Please arrive early enough to check in at the front desk, and get settled. We understand that unexpected situations do arise. If you are tardy, please enter the classroom quietly, with consideration to other students.
  • Please enter the classroom with an open mind and heart. Bring outside conversations down to a quiet level in order to create a receptive space for all to practice.
  • The bamboo floor of the studio is dust-mopped before each class. Please remove shoes, and place in a storage cubby before setting up your mat.
  • Comfortable clothing is recommended.
  • Avoid heavy foods, or large meals 1-2 hours before class. Light snacks, such as fruit, are suggested.
  • Please notify your instructor of any injuries, or special needs that may affect your class experience.
  • We recommend acquiring your own yoga mat to bring to class.
  • A student's yoga mat is usually regarded as an extension of their personal space. Please respect this by walking around, rather than onto, other student's mats.
  • Please silence all cell phones.
  • A mindful yoga practice honors and respects the body. Please arrive to class clean, and refrain from wearing heavy fragrances and perfumes.
  • Please bring only containers of water into the studio.
  • If at all possible, please avoid leaving class early, especially during closing Savasana.
